How's it going everyone? I'm looking to get my first dslr. Is the pentak k -50 still relevant? or should I be looking at a newer model? I really like that price point of $400 or less. Any genuine advice would be very helpful, thanks.

Hey Chris I have a canon Sx50 hs . I have had it since it was first released but it's now time to upgrade to a DLSR . The sx50 hs has been a great camera over the years and with the super zoom I have taken some amazing shoots. But being a mad sports fan I really like getting action photos. Your 80D give away would be awesome if I was picked …… After seeing and reading so many posts on youtube I'am stuck what DLSR should I buy that is a great sports camera and not going to cost heaps…………

Only thing I miss in the T6S is:
    -no minimum shutter
-no kelvin white balance scale, just the normal options
-no autocombine HDR (yes there is creative mode HDR picture bracketing, but … you can't do exposure compensation in that mode)…(yes, you can do bracketing and then combine in software, but I want it in-camera lol)
-I would also like canon to default to a higher shutter speed than 1/focal length (*1.6) in Av and Auto…I don't think 1/focal is fast enough anymore for high mp sensors, I would prefer if you could set it to 1/(focal * 2), so a 40mm pancake defaults to 1/120 instead of 1/60

other than that, it's a great camera really

I recently bought Canon 1000d for 100 euro, for that price it's a terrific camera, my only complaint is, the viewfinder is kind of small, zero progress since the 300d, even my film camera Canon 3000v from 2001 has much larger one. 90 % of time I stick with 50mm, f 1.8 lens, I like how small the combo is and the pictures are just great… https://m.flickr.com/#/photos/scifuxa/24788486024/

Hello I need some help I have two Go Pros and I want something that films better. I want it to be more crisp and less grainy than my Go Pros. I want it to be able to film fast things like a person riding a long board down a hill around 60mph. I want it to be able to take pictures of the sky at night and you can be able to see the stars. The only problem is I have a budget of 150 dollars. Thanks!

pictures in the end sucked. music sucked even harder. and he basically knows a little about canon-products. the only useful thing he said was, he bought something on ebay. neither canon or nikon bodys can live up to sony or fujifilm nowadays, thats fact. Canons L-Lenses are brilliant, but super-expensive and nikon has a smaller bandwith of lenses. Sony has Carl-Zeiss (german high quality glasses) , Fujifilm has its own glasses (very brilliant as well). Depending on your wallet you might want to buy adapters and get cheapolenses/bodys on ebay. Why is Sony and Fujifilm better? Because they have better sensors and actually care for consumeropinions. And well, any1 who buys fullframe for hobby must be rich or stupid. DSLR is a dies. DSLM is the newer and better way to do it. The new electric viewfinders succeeding the manual viewfinder. The only negative aspect about dslm I can see is the shorter lifespan of the battery. While a good'ol dslr can prove to about a 1000 pictures with one battery, dslm can shoot only do a third of that. But YO. You plug your smartphone into the charger everyday anyways, you could do the exact same thing with your camerabatterys.

"Canon or Nikon" is a line amongst photography enthusiasts that is really getting old, especially today with Canon so far behind the rest of the pack in sensor tech that it's not funny. I know CaNikon users will brand me as just another "Sony Fanboy" but Sony is becoming a force to be reckoned with, especially as Mirrorless is becoming more popular.

The lack of support and lack of range of lenses for Sony is a myth, they are the 3rd largest manufacturer of DSLR cameras, one of the top producers of Mirrorless cameras, they may not have as many niche lenses as CaNikon but do have a full range with all the bases covered for both Crop and Full frame (high end G-series and Zeiss glass like 35/1.4, 50/1.4, 85/1.4, 70-200/2.8, etc etc) with sharpness and quality that match or exceed their competitive counterparts. Also, many 3rd Party lens manufacturers like Tamron, Tokina and Sigma that have raised their game in the last 5 years and offer lenses that have comparable or sharper image quality than their 1st party counterparts that are available on multiple platforms at a significant cost reduction.

Don't get me wrong, Canon and Nikon make great Cameras but if you're looking to get into photography on the cheap, used Sony gear is super cheap and plenty of used Sony and Minolta (whom Sony bought and is where A-mount came from) lenses are on the market with excellent optical quality for the value – and it's a system that does have professional APS-C and Full Frame camera bodies (A77II and A99) that you could one day upgrade to if your photography grows.

If buying new, for $500 the Sony A58 provides one of the best bangs for the buck for getting into a camera system that will help you learn, used Sony bodies can be had for under $200 bucks and you can pick up lots of quality Minolta lenses for it from across the last 25 years, many for under $100 each. And because image stabilization is in-body, it works with all lenses.

The biggest thing that bugs me is saying that "Canon or Nikon" are the only option when it is no longer an exclusive club anymore, and Sony provides reasonable alternatives with a number of award winning cameras. I'm not dissing Canon or Nikon in any way (except that Nikon/Sony IQ greatly surpasses Canon, though Canon makes some nice lenses) but I'm tired of being derisively branded as a "Sony Fanboy" or "working for Sony" for making an obvious point that they're overlooked as a Camera brand and shouldn't be – ESPECIALLY where camera value is concerned, and that I believe is what was the original point of this video.
